CANCELLED
The forecast for this weekend at Chew is dire and therefore, after consultation with the sailors entered, the PRO and the club, we have taken the decision to cancel the event.
We never like to cancel, especially as many volunteers have put a lot of effort into planning it and we know sailors will have booked 'time off' and been looking forward to it, but in this case it is the sensible thing to do.
Not confirmed yet, but we are looking into re-arranging the event:
RS100 Inlands - Sunday 24th November at Chew, 1 day
RS700 Inlands - 15th/16th March, Queen Mary (with 200s, 400s, 800s)
We will let everyone know about these asap.
RS100 and RS700 Rooster National Tour Finale and Inland Championships
Now a regular fixture on the RS100 and RS700 calendars the fleets return to Chew Valley Sailing Club. A good location, excellent race management and lovely food!
James Williams, CVLSC Sailing Secretary says "We are delighted to be able welcome the RS100 and RS700 fleets back to Chew Valley Lake for their Inland Championship. With strong home fleets, good launching facilities and a great piece of water we are looking forward to a highly competitive and enjoyable 2 days racing"
No formal evening meal at the club, but the Galley will be open before and after racing for hot food.
Campervans allowed - book with entry.
Please note: dogs are NOT allowed on site.
