Congratulations to Brendan Lynch & Ellen Clark on winning the RS200 Scottish Championships! 🏆
The RS200 Scottish Championships delivered six races of close, competitive racing in testing windy conditions.
Consistency proved to be the key to success, with Brendan Lynch & Ellen Clark (East Lothian YC) claiming the Scottish Championship title. After opening the regatta with a third place, they quickly found their stride, winning three of the remaining five races and never finishing outside the top two again. Their impressive consistency secured the championship with a net score of just seven points.
Ewan Wilson & Rory Gifford (EUSC) enjoyed a strong weekend of their own, recording race wins in the opening and fifth races to finish second overall on ten points. Completing the podium were Jamie Calder & Emily Hill (Royal Highland YC), whose victory in Race 3 helped them secure third place after another consistently solid series.
Just behind the podium, John Wilson & Laura Glover finished fourth, while James Gifford & Becky Caiger rounded out the top five after delivering a string of top-five finishes across the weekend.
The challenging breeze ensured plenty of exciting racing across the fleet, rewarding consistent decision-making and tidy boat handling. Despite the conditions, competitors enjoyed six quality races and another fantastic Scottish Championship.
Great to see such a high standard of racing throughout the fleet, well done to everyone who took part and helped make it a brilliant championship! ⛵️
Huge thank you to Rooster for their continued sponsorship and for providing us with great prizes (joey holders so we don't lose our bottles!!)
